> Handwrytten cards cost $3.75 retail, $0.94 each at 50,000, or $1.99 to $1.19 on $449 to $2,499 plans, plus postage. Every fee as of October 2026.

As of October 2026, a Handwrytten card costs $3.75 at retail, and postage is billed on top at the USPS rate, which is $0.82 for a 1-ounce stamped letter. Ordering cards in one batch lowers the card price to $2.81 at 100 cards, $2.06 at 1,000, and $0.94 at 50,000. Business plans cost $449 to $2,499 a month and set a flat card price between $1.99 and $1.19. Gift cards, inserts, international mail, and a font made from your own handwriting all cost extra.

*Handwrytten pricing depends most on order size, since one bulk order of 1,000 cards costs $2.88 each with postage against $4.57 for a single card.*

Handwrytten writes its cards and envelopes with robots that hold real pens, and its [company page](https://www.handwrytten.com/about/the-company/) says one robot writes nearly 750 notes a day. Every Handwrytten price on this page comes from Handwrytten's own site, read on October 25, 2026. ## Card prices and bulk discounts

Handwrytten's [card catalog](https://app.handwrytten.com/cards) listed 863 cards on October 25, 2026. Of those, 837 cost $3.75, 9 cost $3.50, and 17 cost $3.25. Folded A2 cards and flat 5x7 cards cost the same. The FAQ says the $3.25 cards are value-priced and carry the Handwrytten logo on the back, and pricier cards carry a "Red Wagon" mark that does not name Handwrytten. The custom card designer also offers an 8.5x11 letter, labelled $5.75.

The catalog shows a bulk price table under Bulk Send for every card. We read it through the catalog's public API, which Handwrytten documents in its [API reference](https://www.handwrytten.com/api/). The discount is the same share off every card, from 10% at 50 cards to 75% at 50,000.

| Cards in one order | $3.75 card | $3.50 card | $3.25 value card | $3.75 card with an 82-cent stamp |
| -----------------: | ---------: | ---------: | ---------------: | -------------------------------: |
| 1 | $3.75 | $3.50 | $3.25 | $4.57 |
| 50 | $3.38 | $3.15 | $2.93 | $4.20 |
| 100 | $2.81 | $2.63 | $2.44 | $3.63 |
| 500 | $2.44 | $2.27 | $2.11 | $3.26 |
| 1,000 | $2.06 | $1.93 | $1.79 | $2.88 |
| 5,000 | $1.69 | $1.57 | $1.46 | $2.51 |
| 10,000 | $1.31 | $1.22 | $1.14 | $2.13 |
| 25,000 | $1.13 | $1.05 | $0.97 | $1.95 |
| 50,000 | $0.94 | $0.88 | $0.81 | $1.76 |

The pricing page describes these as discounts "for ordering your notes at once." A batch of 300 cards prices at the 100-card rate. Thirty cards sent one at a time each price as a single card.

The FAQ also mentions prepaid credits, which "are good for 12 months before expiring." Handwrytten does not publish what prepaid credits cost.

## Business plans

All four business plans include QR code tracking, automated birthday and anniversary cards, multistep campaigns, unlimited custom card designs, and API access, according to the [pricing page](https://www.handwrytten.com/pricing/).

| Plan | Billed monthly | Billed annually, per month | Card price | What the plan adds |
| ---------- | -------------: | -------------------------: | ---------: | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Pro | $449 | $374 | $1.99 | Account manager, automation setup, Salesforce, HubSpot, Blackbaud, and Shopify support |
| Enterprise | $649 | $540 | $1.49 | Managed bulk uploads, free CASS address checks, branded portal, multiple users, uptime promise |
| Elite | $849 | $707 | $1.29 | Priority mailing, quarterly strategy sessions, free delivery tracking, hosted integrations |
| Agency | $2,499 | $2,082 | $1.19 | Weekly strategy calls, hosted SFTP, free storage for up to 10 insert designs |

Monthly plans are "billed every 4 weeks," so a year brings 13 charges. Pro billed monthly costs $5,837 a year, against $4,488 for twelve months at the annual rate.

A plan's flat card price beats retail quickly. Pro saves $1.76 a card against $3.75, so its fee is covered at about 255 cards a month, or 213 at the annual rate. The gap against a bulk order is small. A batch of 500 already costs $2.44 a card, 45 cents above Pro, and a batch of 1,000 costs $2.06. On card price alone, one monthly batch costs less than Pro billed monthly at almost every volume. Pro pays off when cards go out one at a time, as they do when Salesforce or HubSpot sends a card for each closed deal.

The pricing page lists a monthly price and a card price for each plan. It does not say whether the monthly price is a platform fee or card credit you spend. Ask for the answer in writing before you compare plans. It changes the math below.

## Consumer plans

Handwrytten's consumer plans are Silver at $100 a month for 24 cards and 10% off, Gold at $200 for 50 cards and 15% off, and Platinum at $382 for 100 cards and 20% off. The pricing page says they renew every 30 days, unused credits roll over, and you can cancel at any time. The FAQ says cancelling forfeits unused credits at the end of the final billing month.

The plan prices appear to include postage. One hundred cards at 20% off $3.75 is $300, and 100 stamps at $0.82 is $82, which totals Platinum's $382. A July 2026 [PPC Land article](https://ppc.land/handwrytten-cards-now-fire-automatically-from-hubspot-deals/) listed Gold at $198 and Platinum at $378, which is the same arithmetic with the 78-cent stamp USPS charged before July 12.

## Postage, international mail, and tax

Handwrytten mails every card First-Class with a real stamp and bills domestic postage "at the current USPS rate." Since July 12, 2026, that is $0.82 for a 1-ounce stamped letter, as covered in [the USPS price changes guide](https://trysincerely.com/guides/usps-price-changes). Handwrytten's pricing notes say prices may change "due to USPS postal rate increases."

International cards carry a 10-cent manual processing surcharge on top of the international stamp, which the FAQ prices at $1.70. The FAQ also says sales tax may apply because of new tax rules.

## Gift cards and inserts

Each brand's [gift card page](https://www.handwrytten.com/gift-cards/) lists the denominations and the price you pay for each. The FAQ calls the difference a convenience fee that covers activating and shipping the card. Gift card sales are final, and subscription credits do not cover them.

| Gift card | Small card | $25 card | $100 card |
| ---------------------------------------------------------- | -------------- | -------------- | ---------------- |
| Starbucks | $5 for $7.95 | $25 for $29.95 | $100 for $104.95 |
| Amazon | $10 for $12.95 | $25 for $29.95 | $100 for $104.95 |
| Home Depot, Cheesecake Factory, Grubhub, Three Restaurants | Not offered | $25 for $29.95 | $100 for $104.95 |
| Choose Your Own, over 200 stores | $5 for $9.95 | $25 for $30.95 | $100 for $107.95 |
| Treat Yourself | Not offered | $25 for $30.95 | $100 for $105.95 |

A business card, sticker, or magnet costs $50 to set up, $20 a month to store, and $0.50 for each one mailed. For gift cards, lottery tickets, coupons, and other custom inserts, the FAQ sends you to your sales representative.

## API access

The [API reference](https://www.handwrytten.com/api/) is public. It covers orders, cards, custom card designs, gift cards, inserts, QR codes, and prospecting, with Python and JavaScript client libraries. A test mode accepts orders without fulfilling them, and it authorizes payments without capturing them.

Handwrytten publishes no separate API fee. The pricing page lists API access as standard on every business plan, and the API reference does not say whether an account without a plan can create an API key. Confirm that your account can create an API key before you build on it.

## What 250 cards a month costs

Brightwell, a fictional payroll software company, wants its sales team to send 250 cards a month, each with a rep's business card inside. Here is the October 2026 arithmetic on a $3.75 card.

| Line | Retail, one at a time | One 250-card bulk order | Pro, billed monthly | Pro, billed annually |
| ------------------------------------- | --------------------: | ----------------------: | ------------------: | -------------------: |
| Plan | $0 | $0 | $449 | $374 |
| 250 cards | $937.50 | $702.50 (at $2.81) | $497.50 | $497.50 |
| Postage, 250 × $0.82 | $205.00 | $205.00 | $205.00 | $205.00 |
| Inserts, 250 × $0.50 plus $20 storage | $145.00 | $145.00 | $145.00 | $145.00 |
| Monthly total | $1,287.50 | $1,052.50 | $1,296.50 | $1,221.50 |
| Per card, all in | $5.15 | $4.21 | $5.19 | $4.89 |

The insert setup adds $50 once, and sales tax may apply on top.

The bulk order is the cheapest option with a published price, but it only works if Brightwell batches the month's cards into one upload. If reps send cards as deals close, each card prices at retail, and Pro billed annually saves $66 a month over that. If Pro's $449 turns out to be card credit, 250 cards at $1.99 use $497.50 of it, and Pro's monthly total falls to $847.50. Get Handwrytten to confirm which way the fee works.

## What the pricing page leaves out

- **Address checks.** Free CASS address standardization starts on Enterprise. The [Handwrytten Guarantee](https://www.handwrytten.com/handwrytten-guarantee/) offers a refund within 90 days but excludes problems caused by incorrect or incomplete addresses you supply. See [CASS](https://trysincerely.com/glossary/cass) for what that check does.
- **Delivery tracking.** Cards mail First-Class without tracking. You can add delivery confirmation at checkout, and Elite includes it free. Handwrytten does not publish its price.
- **Data.** The features page says Handwrytten can pull a list by city, ZIP, or map area and filter it by income, net worth, and home ownership. The price for that data is not published.
- **Leaving.** The terms of use say you may terminate your account with 60 days' written notice. The FAQ says a subscription can be cancelled in account settings. Ask which applies to a business plan.

## When Handwrytten is the better choice

Handwrytten is the better choice when you want a robot-written card on its own, with no campaign around it. A single card costs $4.57 with its stamp, and a batch of 1,000 costs $2.88 a card all in. Its strongest format is a folded greeting card with a gift card tucked inside. Its catalog runs to 863 designs.

It also fits a team that mails beyond North America, since Handwrytten sends to more than 180 countries. The Pro plan can send a note from Salesforce or HubSpot when a deal moves. The $1,500 custom font lets a founder's own handwriting go out on every card. For other options, see [Handwrytten alternatives](https://trysincerely.com/alternatives/handwrytten) and [Handwrytten vs Simply Noted](https://trysincerely.com/compare/handwrytten-vs-simply-noted).

## How Sincerely compares

Sincerely charges each piece in credits from one pool that covers printing, postage, writing, address verification, measurement, and operations. On the Core monthly plan ($250 a month, 650 credits), a handwritten US 4x6 postcard is $6.54 and a handwritten US letter is $11.92. On Scale monthly ($6,000 a month), the handwritten US letter is $9.30. A gift with a note is $3.85 plus the gift's catalog price. The Pilot is $199 once for up to 100 pieces, without gifts. Every plan is on the [pricing page](https://trysincerely.com/pricing).

Sincerely's handwritten pieces are genuinely written by hand, in the United States and Canada, as 4x6 postcards and letters. Sincerely researches each account and writes each piece for the person who receives it. It verifies the address and measures lift against an account-level holdout. It is a per-piece product for named B2B accounts, and a handwritten piece from Sincerely costs more than a Handwrytten card with postage. [Sincerely vs Handwrytten](https://trysincerely.com/vs/handwrytten) covers the trade in more detail, and [what handwritten mail costs](https://trysincerely.com/guides/handwritten-mail-cost) prices Handwrytten against Simply Noted and IgnitePOST.
