# Direct mail from Salesforce

> Sincerely connects to Salesforce natively. Sync accounts and contacts, trigger mail from CRM fields and stages, and get rep tasks timed to confirmed delivery.

Salesforce is a native Sincerely integration. You connect it in a few minutes, no middleware, no CSV shuffling. Accounts and contacts sync in, campaigns trigger from your CRM fields and opportunity stages, and Sincerely raises a rep follow-up task the day a piece is confirmed delivered. This is one of only four ways into Sincerely: Salesforce, HubSpot, [CSV import](https://trysincerely.com/integrations/csv), and the [MCP server](https://trysincerely.com/integrations/mcp-agents).

## How the sync works

The sync reads from Salesforce. It never writes back.

- **Accounts and contacts in.** Sincerely reads the accounts and contacts you scope to it. Each address gets resolved, scored, and USPS-verified before anything can print. Bad addresses are flagged, not mailed.
- **Triggers from fields and stages.** Campaigns watch the Salesforce fields you pick: an opportunity stage change, an owner assignment, a custom field flipping to a value. When a record matches, it enters the campaign audience.
- **Follow-up tasks on confirmed delivery.** When the print vendor confirms a piece was delivered, Sincerely creates a follow-up task due the next day. That task lives in Sincerely, not in Salesforce. Your rep calls the day the postcard lands, not the day it printed.

Every piece is written for one recipient from the CRM context on the record plus researched account facts. A human approves it before it prints. Nothing mails on autopilot.

## Setup

1. Connect Salesforce from your Sincerely workspace. You authorize with OAuth; no API keys to paste.
2. Scope the sync. Pick the objects, list views, or filters Sincerely can read. It never sees more than you scope.
3. Run the mailability audit. Sincerely scores every address and shows you what percentage of your audience can actually receive mail. This runs on the free audit plan, before you pay anything.
4. Build a campaign. Choose the trigger field or stage, the [format](https://trysincerely.com/formats), and the experiment design: primary outcome, measurement window, holdout percentage.
5. Approve drafts and launch. Pieces print through Lob once you approve them and pick a [plan](https://trysincerely.com/pricing).

Steps 1 through 4 work on the free audit plan with no card. Mailing requires a paid plan.

## What syncs

- Accounts and contacts, with the fields you scope.
- Opportunity stages and custom fields, as campaign triggers.
- Suppression: remove a contact once and it is suppressed immediately and globally.

## What does not sync

- Writes of any kind. Sincerely reads Salesforce and never writes to it. It does not edit accounts, contacts, or opportunities, and it does not create Salesforce tasks. Follow-up tasks live in Sincerely, where your reps work them.
- Leads. Sync works on accounts and contacts. Convert leads first or bring them in by [CSV](https://trysincerely.com/integrations/csv).
- Attribution back into Salesforce fields. Measurement lives in Sincerely readouts, which report lift against account-level holdouts with confidence intervals. CRM matchback is labeled as inference, not proof. See [measurement](https://trysincerely.com/measurement) for how that works.

## What this replaces

Without the integration, direct mail from Salesforce means exporting a report, cleaning addresses in a spreadsheet, uploading to a mail vendor, and setting yourself a calendar reminder to tell reps a week later. Each step leaks accuracy and time. The native sync kills the export step, the address cleanup, and the guessed follow-up timing in one move.

One honest limit: if your workflow lives in Outreach, Salesloft, or Clay rather than Salesforce itself, there is no native connector for those tools today. The honest path is to sync through Salesforce as the bridge, or use an [MCP agent](https://trysincerely.com/integrations/mcp-agents).

Your CRM already knows who to mail and when. This integration just lets it act on that.
