# Sincerely vs Postal

> Postal is a gifting and swag marketplace with events and fulfillment. Sincerely runs the mail channel end to end and measures lift. Here is how to pick.

Source: https://trysincerely.com/vs/postal

Pick Postal if you want a gifting marketplace: branded swag stores, event kits, and thousands of physical items your reps can send. Pick Sincerely if you want the mail channel itself, handwritten notes, postcards, and letters written for each recipient, run end to end, and measured against a holdout.

These are different products that happen to share a mailbox. Postal is offline marketing automation with a catalog behind it. Sincerely is a direct mail platform with an experiment design behind it. The rest of this page maps the line between them.

## Where Postal is the better choice

Be honest with yourself about what you are buying. Postal wins when the physical item is the point.

- **Branded swag stores.** Postal builds company storefronts, sources merchandise, and warehouses it. Sincerely does none of that.
- **Event kits.** If you run field events and need boxes picked, packed, and shipped worldwide, Postal's kitting and fulfillment is the product you need.
- **Gifting variety.** Postal's marketplace gives reps a wide catalog: gift cards, experiences, physical gifts. Sincerely has no gift fulfillment today. Gifts exist in the product but cannot be mailed through Sincerely.
- **One platform for all offline touches.** If your team wants swag, gifts, events, and mail under one contract, Postal covers more surface area.

If that list describes your program, Postal or a similar platform is the right call. Our [gifting platforms comparison](https://trysincerely.com/vs-gifting-platforms) covers that category in more depth.

## Where Sincerely wins

Sincerely wins when mail is a channel you want to run like paid media: targeted, personal, and measured.

- **The writing.** Every piece is written for one recipient from CRM context and researched account facts. A human approves before anything prints. Postal sends items; the message is secondary.
- **Lift, not activity.** Campaigns lock an experiment design at launch: primary outcome, window, holdout percentage. Readouts report lift against account-level holdouts with confidence intervals, and say plainly when a result is not statistically ready. Most gifting reports count sends and redemptions instead. See [how measurement works](https://trysincerely.com/measurement) and the [holdout testing guide](https://trysincerely.com/holdout-testing).
- **Address quality.** Addresses are resolved, scored, and USPS-verified before anything prints. Suppression is immediate and global. B2B addresses go stale fast, and unverified sends waste money silently.
- **No seat math.** Sincerely has no per-seat pricing; you pay for pieces, not licenses. Postal does not publish its pricing model, so ask whether its fee grows with your team or with your sending.
- **Agent access.** Sincerely is an MCP server, so agents like Claude Code or Cursor can build audiences and prepare campaigns. Anything that spends money still shows a human a confirmation card first.

One honest limit: Sincerely mails postcards, letters, and handwritten notes, and the notes go to US addresses only, fulfilled by Handwrytten. Gifts exist in the product but have no live fulfillment, so a gift campaign will not launch.

## Pricing reality

Sincerely publishes [pricing](https://trysincerely.com/pricing). A $199 one-time Pilot covers 100 pieces with everything included. Monthly plans run from Core at $250 per month (150 pieces included) to Scale at $3,500 per month (3,700 included). Printed per-piece prices past the included volume range from $1.00 to $2.00 depending on format and plan, print and postage included. Handwritten notes are priced per card on your plan, with the rate falling at every plan step and the exact number shown in the app. Unused pieces roll over up to one extra month. You can start free: connect a CRM, audit mailability, and draft pieces before choosing a plan.

Postal's [pricing](https://www.postal.com/pricing) is not published; you talk to sales. As of August 2026 their public page names one plan, First Class, lists features, and shows no dollar amount anywhere. Expect a platform fee plus the cost of every item you send, and ask sales for both lines, because the subscription buys access, not sends.

The practical difference: with Sincerely you can model total cost from the pricing page before a sales call. With Postal you cannot.

## How to decide

Answer one question: is the physical object the message, or is the message the message?

- Your program is swag stores, event boxes, and rep-triggered gifts. Buy Postal.
- Your program is reaching target accounts by mail with words that land, and proving it moved pipeline. Buy Sincerely.
- You need both. They coexist fine: Postal for gifting and events, Sincerely for the measured mail channel. Some teams also weigh Postal against its closest peers first; our [Sendoso vs Postal comparison](https://trysincerely.com/compare/sendoso-vs-postal) covers that.

Postal fills the mailbox with things. Sincerely fills it with words that were written for one person, then proves they worked.
